The biannual EMPC (European Microelectronics and Packaging Conference and Exhibition) of IMAPS is one of the most prestigious European microelectronics events. Due to the pandemic, this year, contrary to the original plans - hosted by the city of Gothenburg - the event was held online. Our department was represented by two scientific papers, one short-course and contribution as reviewer and section chair. At the IMAPS-EU ELC meeting, Attila Géczy, president of IMAPS Hungary was present.
Beside exhibitors, the EMPC 2021 programme consisted of 5 keynote speeches, 1 invited speaker and 72 papers presented in parallel sessions. From ETT,
Dr. Gábor Harsányi held a 3-hour short course on MEMS sensors and actuators,
Dr. Balázs Illés presented his research on "Properties of Nano-composite SACX0307 (-ZnO, TiO2) solders",
Dr. Attila Géczy and Dániel Straubinger investigated the "Effect of highly increased current density in the microstructure of lead-free solder joints".
